About the School

Action School of Real Estate, Inc. is a real estate school in Springfield, Missouri designed to offer you the best quality of Real Estate related instruction for the purpose of licensing available.  LaVern Kohl, the School Administrator, has accreditations which include: B.S. in Business; Master's and Specialist's degrees in Business. In the field of real estate, LaVern has completed the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) course and the Certified Real Estate Brokerage manager's (CRB) course. He also was a former Associate Professor in the School of Business at MSU and is a licensed Broker.

Action School of Real Estate, Inc., is fully accredited by the MREC as a real estate school to teach pre-license courses for sales persons and brokers, and also continuing education courses - both in classroom, via correspondence and online classes. We provide services without regard to race, color, sex, religion, national origin, handicap, or familial status. The facilities meet ADA standards. We accept VISA, MasterCard and Discover. We look forward to introducing you to the rewarding and fascinating world of real estate.

We recommend that you enroll two weeks prior to the date of the class you desire to attend. At that time, we will provide you with one text book, state law booklet,  a course outline and the application for the test. The book(s) may be picked up at the school or we can mail them to you for an additional $6.50. The deposit for the class materials and reservation for the class is a non-refundable $75.00 deposit. The remainder of the fee is due on the first day of class. If you should withdraw from a course already in progress we will, upon written request, refund 90% of the unearned full days' tuition per student contract; or in lieu thereof, of timely written application, allow you to complete the uncompleted portion of the course within six months – otherwise you will forfeit the tuition. We use the same text for both sales and brokers courses. The Missouri Real Estate Commission (MREC) states that broker applicants must have two years of active experience as a salesperson and must complete an accredited 48-hour course before taking the broker examination.

You will find our classes interesting as well as informative. Classes are normally small enough so that sufficient time is available for you to receive personal attention and individual help with problem areas. If you should fail the course, you may attend free of charge for up to six months and every effort will be made to ensure that you pass. You must pass an exam given at the school prior to receiving your certificate to take the state exam. Students must attend 100% of the required class or meet conditions under 4CSR 250-6.040.

Action School of Real Estate reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment
